Resistance

Resistance (Resist) – All
You are resistant to a particular form of
energy, magic or damage based upon your
bloodline derivation.
Base Power: You gain a different base power
progression depending upon your bloodline
derivation.
Derivation Resistance
Anduiras Magic from the enchantment school.
Azrai Necromancy/level drain, illusions.
Basaïa Light and Fire.
Brenna Effects that slow, entangle, hold or
otherwise restrain.
Masela Water/drowning, electricity.
Reyner Cold or weather related spells.
Vorynn Magic from the evocation school.
1 BP spent on Resistance gives you 15 SR
against magic used against you of the type
determined by your derivation. For each
additional BP spent on the base power for this
ability increase the SR by 5.
Enhancements: For 1 BP you may add a
second school of magic to that you resist per your
bloodline derivation. You may continue to add
schools of magic for additional BP, but you may
not add a school of magic that is opposed to the
school of magic resisted by your bloodline
derivation.
Reductions: With the permission of the DM
you may exchange the focus of your Resistance
blood ability to that of another derivation or
another type of spells. In effect, this is taking a -1
BP reduction to resist “no spells” and spending
that BP on a new type. As a general rule, you
may not take this reduction to switch to a type of
spell that is represented by one of the other
bloodlines or to influence a type that is
inappropriate for your derivation. Scions of
Masela, for instance, continue the resist magic
that is related to the sea, travel, aquatic creatures,
etc.
